When you log an online sale, Stash can pull live shipping rates and print a label right there — no copying addresses into another site. It buys the actual cost back into your sale, so your profit math stays exact.
This runs through EasyPost, a shipping service that gets you discounted USPS/UPS/FedEx rates. It’s free for 3,000 labels a month — far more than most sellers ship — and you only ever pay the actual postage. You connect it once with an API key. That sounds technical, but it’s just a copy-paste; here’s exactly where to click.
1. Create a free EasyPost account
Go to easypost.com/signup and sign up. It’s free — no card needed to start.
2. Copy your API key
In the EasyPost dashboard, open Account → API Keys. You’ll see two keys:
- Test key — starts with
EZTK. Use this first: it runs the whole flow (rates, “buy,” a sample label) with zero charges, so you can make sure it works. - Production key — starts with
EZAK. Switch to this when you’re ready to buy real postage.
Click the key to copy it. (Keep it private — it’s like a password.)
3. Paste it into Stash
Go to Settings → Marketplaces and find Shipping labels (EasyPost). Paste your key, fill in your ship-from address (your return address), and click Save. Your key is encrypted before it’s stored — we never keep it in plain text.
4. Use it on a sale
Next time you Log a Sale and pick Online (ship it), enter the buyer’s address and a package weight (about 4 oz for a bagged & boarded comic; box size is optional). Click Get rates, then Buy on the rate you want. Stash opens the label to print, fills in the actual shipping cost, and saves the tracking number.
Going live (real postage)
When you swap the test key for your production (EZAK) key, add a payment method or fund your balance in the EasyPost dashboard — postage is charged to your EasyPost wallet, not through Stash. That keeps your shipping costs entirely yours.
Prefer Pirate Ship?
Pirate Ship doesn’t offer a connection like this, but you can still use it — log your sales in Stash, then export and upload them to Pirate Ship for batch labels. Ask us if you’d like that export turned on.
