Completing runs and hunting keys

For the collector whose inventory is not only what they own. Three separate lists do three jobs: runs track what you hold of a series, want lists track what you are hunting, pull lists track what is coming.

1. Add the run you are working on

From Inventory, use Add Run to bring in a span of a series in one go, priced and keyed from the catalog. You end up with a row per issue, so the gaps are visible instead of theoretical.

A complete run is valued at the sum of its issues plus 10%, which is roughly what complete runs actually fetch.

2. Put the gaps on a want list

Go to Pull lists and open the Want List tab. Add the issues you are missing. Set a Max price on each one, which is the number you would happily pay today.

Each night Stash compares the catalog value of every hunted book against your max price. When one sits at or below your number, an entry appears in your activity feed. It waits a week before telling you about the same book again.

Detail: Pull lists.

3. Put what is coming on a pull list

The Pull List tab is for series you follow month to month. Add the series, and upcoming issues show up as they are announced. If your shop is on Stash you can share the list with them instead of texting it over.

4. Use the extras when they fit

  • Convention mode gives you a stripped-down view of what you are hunting, for scrolling one-handed at a table.
  • Budget sets what you plan to spend so the list can be weighed against it.

What to expect

  • Alerts are in-app. They land in your activity feed, once a day. No email, no push, no phone buzzing at 3am.
  • The check is against catalog value, not live listings. It tells you a book has come down to your number. It does not find you a specific copy to buy.
  • Free plan limits: one pull list, five active pull-list items, ten want-list items. Collector removes the caps.

Then what

When a hunted book arrives, add it to Inventory with what you actually paid. That closes the loop: the gap disappears from the run, and your cost basis stays honest.
