For sellers running live shows. Whatnot does not open its seller API to new applicants, so this runs on CSV in both directions: a list out before the show, the sold file back in after it. Needs a Seller plan or above.
1. Pick the books for the show
In Inventory, select what you plan to stream. Sorting by value or filtering to a publisher is usually faster than hunting one by one.
2. Export the list
With the books selected, choose Sell, tick Whatnot, and Publish. You get a CSV of titles, issue numbers, publishers, conditions and prices, and the books are marked as listed on Whatnot so you can see what is out there.
Use that file to build your show in Whatnot, and keep it open while you stream. It is also your read-out for grades and asking prices.
3. Run the show
Nothing to do in Stash during the stream. Sell the way you normally do.
4. Import the sold file
After the show, export your sold or listed items from the Whatnot seller dashboard. In Settings → Marketplaces, find the Whatnot card and click Import CSV.
The wizard shows Whatnot’s columns next to ours and guesses the mapping. Check the sold price, buyer and date columns landed in the right place, then import. Matched books are marked sold and an order is recorded against the buyer’s handle.

5. Ship and reconcile
Buy labels from the orders, then check the dashboard. Whatnot fees and postage come off the top, so log what you actually paid to ship if you want the profit number to mean anything.

Gotchas
- Whatnot changes its export columns. The mapping screen exists for that reason. Read it rather than clicking through.
- Rows that match nothing are skipped and reported. Usually a title that reads differently in the two systems. Fix the title in Stash, or log that sale by hand.
- Buyers arrive as handles, not email addresses. That is all the export carries, so repeat-buyer history is by handle.
- Giveaways and bundles need a manual pass. A book that left the box for nothing still has to be marked sold at zero.
